Seems @Luciano encountered a Discourse bug where some users are unable to send invites. If this is affecting you please know that it will be fixed in the next few days.
Essentially any user who hasn’t already sent or receive an invite to the forum cannot access the forum invite page to send invites and will see an error like the below.
