New unofficial Rust binding to Daml

I’ve just discovered that we have an unofficial Rust binding to Daml, with codegen: GitHub - fujiapple852/rust-daml-bindings: Unofficial Rust bindings and tools for Daml

Do we have the creator(s) on this forum?

Can you imagine that DA will support this library officially?

What needs to be done for this library to work with the latest Daml SDK? (It says: “This library has been tested against Daml-LF version 1.14 and Daml Connect SDK 1.18.1.”)

I’m not aware of the creator being on the forum although I’d love to have them here!

As for official support, at this point we’re not planning to support it via DA but ofc that could change in the future.

As for making it work against the latest SDK I suspect that actually works already. There is no new Daml-LF version and the ledger API changes have mostly been additive.
