Ledger API version V2 - will be part of the introduction of the Canton Network?

I’ve just discovered in the Daml Github repo that a Ledger API version V2 is in the works: daml/ledger-api/grpc-definitions/com/daml/ledger/api/v2 at main · digital-asset/daml · GitHub

The README says: Please note: this file will be removed before the Daml SDK 3.0GA release, the change/migration list will be moved to official daml documentation, the to be revisited list won’t be applicable anymore.

And: To support reassignment of a contract (unassigning from one domain, then assigning to another), the CommandSubmissionService.SubmitReassignment synchronous rpc endpoint was added.

From which I conclude that the change will be part of the introduction of Canton Network.

Is that right?

HI @gyorgybalazsi,

Do you mean when will 3.0 be released or when will be that synchronous endpoint available? In general terms we cannot give a good estimation about when the release will happen, just that it is in the works and may not be implemented completely as it is described in these pages.
