  2. No, there are no plans to add command deduplication across participants for Canton. However, command deduplication does, of course, work across the active-passive replicas of a HA participant node in Canton.

Re 1: The documentation for command deduplication has been completely rewritten for Daml 2.0 and that is actually what Canton supports, not the 1.18.1 docs.
