Canton's GDPR compliance and log redaction

In the release notes of Daml 2.0, in the GDPR compliance section, you mention log redaction along with participant pruning:

GDPR compliance: Canton-enabled drivers and 1.x VMBC drivers also provide history pruning and redaction capabilities for its log, meaning that it’s easy to comply with GDPR’s right to be forgotten .

Participant pruning is explained in the Daml docs, but I couldn’t find any info about log redaction.

Could you elaborate on that?

Hello @gyorgybalazsi ,
This relates to the pruning capabilities, than can be done either on the participant or on the domain nodes (sequencer and mediator).
More information can be found in the following section of the doc: Operational Processes — Daml SDK 2.2.0 documentation

I hope this helps.

Best,

Rafael
