Protobuf archive structure

When downloading the protobuf archives from github for releases >= 1.0.0 and <= 1.7.0 the archive is structured with com/digitalasset and com/daml folder structures as would be expected for the package names. Howver for archives >= 1.8.0 the ledger protobuf files are all at the top level, including losing the testing and admin folders.

Is this a mistake, as it makes restoring the files for use with other languages, like C#, more of a hassle?
