Packages still listed in ledger api after Dar/Package removal commands

Hello~
While trying out canton remote console commands to remove dars and packages according to official docs here.
We noticed that after we remove the dars or packages, when we

  1. list the packages using admin api → removed packages are gone and not listed as expected
  2. list the packages using ledger api → remove packages are still listed (!!!)

Wondering if this an known behaviour or a bug.

(We are testing with daml sandbox on version 2.8.6, using remote canton console with version 2.8.3)

This is a known behavior as Ledger API DAR/package removal is not supported. Please note that this feature is not ready for production usage: Manage Dars and Packages — Daml SDK 2.8.7 documentation
